Selection results will be made available by June 7th at the latest.

If you made an application in the last few days your application is probably still getting processed so you may not receive a confirmation email immediately. If you do not recieve a confirmation email by May 20, please contact registration@artshow.co.nz.

Each year thousands of people come to view and purchase - art lovers, first time investors, seasoned investors, curious artists et al. Many artists have been ‘discovered’ and have moved on to pursue careers as full-time artists, making the New Zealand Art Show a valuable contributor to the arts community. 

The New Zealand Show is open to all New Zealand artists. 

 

There are three exhibition categories artists can apply for: General Exhibition, Solo Panel and Single Artist Wall (SAW).

 

General Exhibitors . . .

form the foundation of the the New Zealand Art Show and may submit up to five artworks. More info here.

Applicatons closed May 10.

 

SAW artists . . . . 

are allocated a space dedicated solely to their work and, within reason, may submit as many artworks as they like. More info here.

Applications for this category are now closed.

 

Solo Panel artists . . .

are allocated a single panel and may submit up to 15 pieces. More info here.

Selection

All applicants are subject to a rigourous selection process. Competition to gain entry to our show is high therefore all applicants are urged to submit their best works with their application.

What do you need to do to apply?

Applicants are required to supply the following as part of their application:

  1. Completed application form
  2. Application fees
  3. Digital images
  4. Descriptions for each image
  5. Artist profile

Awards 

The New Zealand Art Show offers a number of awards to provide extra support for artists who show great promise - the awards for 2013 are yet to be confirmed.

 

What are the costs?
  • Standard application fee - $30. All applicants to pay when they apply.
  • Signature Piece Art Award - if you choose to apply for the Signature Piece Art Award - $20. You can pay for this after you have received confirmation that you are selected for the show.
  • All artists who are selected for the show are subject to exhibition fees - please click on the relevant link for each exhibition category, located on the right hand side of this page. These are due once you have received confirmation that you have been selected for the show.
  • Artists who are selected for the show may also incur the following costs: wrapping materials, freight, transport, accommodation etc.
